Accidents Involving Children

In Scotland, the age of full legal capacity is 16. Our team have years of experience acting for child clients who have suffered injury through the negligence of others, including:-

• accidents at nurseries
• accidents in commercial and other occupied premises

We are conscious of the need to deal sensitively with your child's claim. Our Principal, Peter Crooks, has litigated many cases on behalf of child clients. We would typically speak with the instructing parent in the first instance. We would only consider speaking directly with your child if they are of an age where we think it is appropriate for them to provide information about their accident. We would always seek a parent's consent before doing so.
