Who We Are

Principal: Peter Crooks

The principal of the firm is Peter Crooks. Peter was educated at Glasgow and Edinburgh universities. He qualified as a solicitor in 1996. For 17 years he specialised in personal injury litigation with Bonnar Accident Law, Airdrie. He has represented well over a thousand clients in obtaining compensation for personal injury or the death of a loved one. He has also represented clients who have obtained compensation for dampness and defects in their home caused by the neglect of their landlord.

Peter has acted for clients in all types of personal injury claims, from straightforward road traffic cases right up to complex cases involving injuries of the utmost severity or death of a loved one. He has litigated cases in sheriff courts throughout Scotland and in the Court of Session, Edinburgh.

Peter is a qualified solicitor-advocate. This means that he has the right to appear in the superior courts such as the Court of Session in Edinburgh or the UK Supreme Court in London.

The vast majority of personal injury actions raised in court settle before a final hearing. However, where a defender does not make a reasonable offer to settle an action, sometimes a court hearing is necessary. Peter is a highly experienced court practitioner. He has personally conducted dozens of court trials, debates and appeals successfully on behalf of clients.

Angela Ferguson

Angela is a dedicated and talented member of the team. She is extremely good at communicating with clients and understanding their needs. She has over 12 years’ experience as a paralegal. She was formerly with Bonnar Accident Law, Airdrie. She has acted for clients in every type of personal injury claim, including road traffic, accidents at work and public liability claims. She is also highly experienced in progressing damp/defective housing claims.

Tricia provides all secretarial and office management services in the firm. She is a highly experienced and capable member of the team. She has over 20 years’ experience as a legal secretary and has acted as P.A. to Peter Crooks for 13 years. She is proficient in delivering the secretarial services required in a personal injury litigation practice.
